New This Month:

Fearless (Taylor’s Version) by Taylor Swift

This album and all the work Taylor Swift is doing will go down in history; no other artist has decided to re-record all of their previous albums. Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is a work of art — it is the perfect representation of how Swift’s work is timeless. She is still making a mark with her songs over 10 years later and even added new songs, which she calls “from the vault.” Swift is magic and we are all under her spell. My favorite songs on the album are “You All Over Me,” “Mr. Perfectly Fine,” “Forever & Always,” “Come In With the Rain, “The Way I Loved You” and “Hey Stephen.” I know that seems like a lot, but there’s a lot to pick from with 26 tracks! There will be a song for you on this album; it’s highly relatable and is the essence of youth and love.

Artists like Taylor Swift: Olivia Rodrigo and Demi Lovato

While You Were Out EP by Boys World

Boys World is the girl group our world has desperately needed. If this is the next generation’s girl group, we’re all in luck. All of the songs on this EP are instant hits and are the definition of power. There’s an individuality to each song and member; however, they come together to make beautiful tracks. My favorites from the EP are “Relapse,” “Touched by an Angel” and “Tiptoe.” You’ll have this EP on repeat for a while. I think that these ladies will be our next superstar group and you should keep them on your radar!

Artists like Boys World: Ariana Grande and Little Mix

“Kiss Me More” by Doja Cat featuring SZA

This will be the song of the summer. I know it’s only April, but this song will seamlessly transition into summer. It’s obsessively catchy and two powerhouses are on the track. What else could you need? Every time I listen to this song I feel like I should be going to the beach with some roller skates. It’s just fun. If you need a pick me up, pick this track; you won’t regret it!

Artists like Doja Cat/SZA: Ella Mai and Rico Nasty

“Send Me” by Tirzah

I don’t think my mouth has ever flown open as quickly as it did when I listened to this song. The audio is incredible. I don’t know how it was done, but I am in awe. It sounds like Tirzah is singing right next to you. She truly makes you feel a part of the song and it’s an experience. Tirzah’s voice is honey, like a lullaby for your soul. Also, please listen to this song with headphones!

Artists like Tirzah: Bishop Briggs and King Princess

Southern Curiosity by Fancy Hagood

I love this album. I don’t think we’ve ever been given representation in the South, but Fancy Hagood has done it. He skillfully put his personal experiences into world experiences and it’s gorgeous. His music is what music is about — it’s a connection. Hagood’s vocals are out of this world. Each song is an absolute treat and absolutely vulnerable. I think this album will be one of my favorites this year! My favorite songs off of this album are “Either,” “Mr. Atlanta,” “The Same Thing” and “Don’t Blink.”

Artists like Fancy Hagood: Kevin McHale and Lewis Capaldi

“Love Song” by María Isabel

I wish I would have heard this song sooner — it shows the power of who we are as people. Oftentimes, we are too hard on ourselves but we have to realize that we are a product of history. We are here because of love and we are here to love; we should love ourselves. María Isabel does a perfect job at displaying this. This is my first time hearing her work, but I can tell you she has a new fan. I appreciate the wisdom she brings to her music.

Artists like María Isabel: Sabrina Carpenter and Alessia Cara

“Sad Girl” by Charlotte Cardin

This song is a jam. The structure of the song mixed with Charlotte Cardin’s powerful voice is extraordinary. It carries the theme of the feeling of space after attachment. “Sad Girl” personifies this feeling through its artistry. It has been on repeat for me since I’ve heard it and it will stay that way!

Artists like Charlotte Cardin: Ella Henderson and Ashe

“Lovely Town” by Grant Schaffer

I found this song while on a picnic and I think that’s the perfect way to describe this song. The vibe the song gives off is tranquil. With Grant Schaffer’s smooth vocals and groovy guitar, this song is perfect for your best day. Also, I won’t tell anyone if you look up the rest of his discography after listening!

Artists like Grant Schaffer: Surfaces and Ruel

Still On Repeat:

“Levitating” by Dua Lipa

I don’t know what’s wrong with me — I truly cannot contain myself anytime I hear this song. It’s just too good. You cannot be sad while listening to this song, it’s groovy. I even have my own choreography for the song. I’m not even embarrassed to admit that because that’s how much I love this song. I think it will be on repeat for the rest of my life. I know most people are tired of it because it’s been on repeat on the radio, but if you listen to it by choice it’s life-changing.

Other songs like these by Dua Lipa: “Lost In Your Light” (featuring Miguel) and “Genesis”

Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves

I am in desperate need of new Musgraves music, but until then I will have her last album on repeat. Lately, this album has been a magnet. I’m really connecting to certain songs more than I have in the past. Right now, “Lonely Weekend,” “Happy & Sad” and “Love Is a Wild Thing” have been my most listened to. I think one day this album will be a part of the classics.

Other songs like these by Kacey Musgraves: “Die Fun” and “Golden Hour”
