On Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Meredith College will be partnering with Walgreens to hold an on-campus flu shot clinic. There will be around 250 appointments available and residential students will be prioritized for the clinic since the flu vaccine requirement only applies to residential students. An email from Residence Life was sent out to residential students with information about registering on Sept. 24.

Dr. Mary Johnson, Director of Health Services, said that despite the requirement only applying to residential students, “all campus community members are still encouraged to get a flu vaccine this season.” If there are available spots after residential students sign up, the on-campus flu shot clinic will open registration to the rest of the Meredith community. Many pharmacies around Raleigh are also already offering flu vaccines, including Walgreens, CVS and the MinuteClinics inside Target. These locations accept most insurance. At Target, people who have gotten the flu vaccine there can also get a $5 off $20 Target coupon.
