Ghetto Until It's Fashion

On this week's episode, we'll be discussing fashion and how it has evolved over time, as well as what it means to be an ally in a predominantly white institution (PWI). We interviewed Korey Barringer, the Vice President of Meredith's Black Student Union (BSU) and a fashion design major. We spoke with her about what it is like to be a part of a major that is dominated by Eurocentric fashion, as well as how she pushes the boundaries of these biases. This episode was hosted by Sofia Gomez and produced by Jeanine Carryl and Milin Santizo-Escobar. Episode art courtesy of Korey Barringer.
