On Thursday, Nov. 17, the Meredith International Association (MIA) held a World Cup Kickoff event as part of International Education Week.

During this event, students were invited to come and learn about the cultural and human rights complexities regarding the phenomenon that is the World Cup. Students participated in World Cup Trivia and learned about how teams can qualify to participate in this tournament.

At the end of the event, students were invited to create their own bracket to enter the campus wide competition. Winners of the bracket competition will receive prizes at the end of the tournament.

Throughout the weeks of the World Cup tournament taking place, the MIA will be holding watch parties where students can gather to enjoy the games together.
