Study Abroad Fair

On Sept. 26, 2023, the Office of International Programs (OIP) will be hosting their annual Study Abroad Fair. The event will be held from 5-7 p.m. in the Belk Dining Hall Courtyard.

Liz Yaros, the Associate Director of the OIP, said, “This [study abroad fair] is an opportunity for students to connect with Meredith faculty who are leading study abroad programs during spring, summer and fall 2024. This event is also an opportunity for students to connect with our affiliate programs!”

If students are wondering what they can learn about at the fair in terms of study abroad, Yaros shared that “at the fair, students can learn about scholarship opportunities and financial aid for study abroad. Meredith has outstanding study abroad scholarships and generous financial aid policies to help make study abroad affordable. Scholarships are both merit-based and need-based.”

The programs that will be showcased at the fair include “Meredith's 2024 faculty-led programs, where students take Meredith courses abroad to fulfill many major, minor and general education requirements,” Yaros said. She also shared that each program takes place for different lengths of time: “Short-term programs range from two weeks to eight weeks and most offer six credits. The Semester in Italy program offers a full semester of Meredith courses that fulfill general education requirements.”
