Oct. 24: Field hockey game against Sweet Briar College


The field hockey team lost their game against Sweet Briar College with a final score of 0-7.


Oct. 26: Volleyball game against William Peace University


The volleyball team won their game against William Peace University with a final score of 3-1. Senior Whitney Bolton had 41 total attempts, 17 kills, four digs and three block assists. Senior ​​Avery Bowman had 31 total attempts, ten kills, 11 digs, two block solos and three block assists. Freshman Sara Dees had 23 total attempts, 11 kills and three block assists. Hailey Long had 23 total attempts, three kills, one dig and two block assists. Lauren Bissette had 22 total attempts, 11 kills, one dig, two block solos and four block assists. Freshman Madelyn Clark had 21 total attempts, ten kills, one dig and one block assist. Senior Lauren Phillips had one total attempt and 27 digs. Freshman Emily Emerson had 17 digs. Hannah Jo Jablonski had eight digs. Senior Bailey Lucas had six digs.


Oct. 29: Field hockey game against Southern Virginia University


The field hockey team lost their game against Southern Virginia University with a final score of 0-1. Field hockey’s next game is scheduled for Nov. 3 against Southern Virginia University.


Oct. 30: Cross country at USA South XC Championship


The cross country team finished third overall in their team score. The team made a new all-time average in program history with 24:35.64. Corrine Weaver finished second overall and finished with a time of 23:14.08. Julie Tonon finished sixth with a time of 23:54.82. Andrea Gallegos finished fifteenth with a time of 24:52.09. Ashleigh Buser finished 18th with a final time of 25:06.53. Kaylee Spencer finished 25th overall with a time of 25:50.67. Isabella Saudo was right behind her in 26th with a final time of 26:01.00. Emily Ward finished with a time of 27:21.34. Claire Miller finished with a time of 27:37.04. Michelle Gladdis finished with a time of 29:03.16. Emma Brooks finished with a time of 29:58.33. Senior Mitxi Ortiz finished with a time of 34:07.93. Freshman Keerthi Tammineni finished with a time of 34:16.86. The team will next travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina on Nov. 13 for the NCAA South/Southeast XC Regional meet.


Oct. 30: Soccer game against Covenant College


The soccer team lost their game against Covenant College in the Quarterfinals of the USA South Tournament. This was soccer’s last game of the season; they finished with a 6-6-2 record.


Oct. 30: Volleyball game against NC Wesleyan College


The volleyball team won their game against NC Wesleyan with a final score of 3-0. Whitney Bolton had 31 total attempts, 12 kills and four digs. Hailey Long had 25 total attempts, nine kills, four digs and four block assists. Sara Dees had 22 total attempts, ten kills, two digs and four block assists. Avery Bowman had 20 total attempts, six kills and 11 digs. Madelyn Clark had 14 total attempts, three kills and two digs. Lauren Bissette had ten total attempts, six kills, one dig and two block solos. Bailey Lucas had two total attempts, one kill and four digs. Lauren Phillips had two total attempts and 13 digs. Freshman Emily Emerson had 12 digs. Hannah Jo Jablonski had seven digs.


Oct. 30: Volleyball game against Averett University


The volleyball team lost their game against Averett University with a final score of 1-3. Hailey Long had 30 total attempts, eight kills, three digs and two block assists. Avery Bowman had 28 total attempts, ten kills, ten digs and three block assists. Whitney Bolton had 28 total attempts and five kills. Lauren Bissette had 21 total attempts, 11 kills, one block solo and two block assists. Madelyn Clark had 19 total attempts, four kills, two digs and one block assist. Sara Dees had 18 total attempts, five kills, four digs, four block solos and one block assist. Lauren Phillips had two total attempts and 21 digs. Bailey Lucas had one total attempt and 12 digs. Hannah Jo Jablonski had 12 digs. Emily Emerson had two digs. Volleyball plays William Peace on Nov. 2 for the USA South Tournament Quarterfinal.
