The sweet warmth of the summer sun is right around the corner. For students who have plans to stay in Raleigh this Summer, there will be plenty to do. Whether you’ve got some money to blow or you are hoping to save some coins – here are some things you can add to your calendar.
Walking Tour
Although it’s not spooky season, Raleigh will be hosting a Ghosts and Ghouls Hauntings Walking Tour downtown. Through May, tickets will be 20% off making them only $25. If you and your friends are in for some scary stories and a ghost hunt, throw on some comfy shoes, grab some tickets and meet your guide at the State Capitol on Edenton Street.
The Arts
Didn’t get enough ‘Alice in Wonderland?’ The Cary Ballet Company will be bringing the story to life on stage at the Martin Marietta Center for Performing Arts on May 4 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. with tickets ranging between $38 to $45.
If you’ve got an eye for art, East Carolina professor and artist, Scott Eagle, will be exhibiting his paintings at City Market Artist Collective. His exhibit is called ‘Eyrie One.’ His art expresses his view on a variety of topics including politics, love, fear, pain, divorce, death and mental illness.
Music
The PNC arena will host many artists this year like Megan Thee Stallion, Melanie Martinez, Tim McGraw and Justin Timberlake, to name a few. For any WINGS students who have children, Kidz Bop Live will also be in concert on Friday, Jul. 12 with tickets starting at $41.
Blink-182 will be reuniting once again on Jul. 30, at the PNC arena, for those in the mood for some throwbacks.
