Oct. 5: Volleyball game against William Peace University


The volleyball team lost against William Peace University with a final score of 2-3. Hailey Long had 31 total attempts, ten kills, one dig, one block solo and six block assists. Senior Avery Bowman had 29 total attempts, 15 kills, ten digs and three block assists. Senior Whitney Bolton had 29 total attempts, 13 kills, one dig and one block assist. Freshman ​​Madelyn Clark had 21 total attempts, seven kills, two digs and one block assist. Freshman Sara Dees had 18 total attempts, nine kills, five digs and six block assists. Lauren Bissette had 17 total attempts, eight kills and five block assists. Senior Bailey Lucas had two total attempts and seven digs. Senior Lauren Phillips had one total attempt and 13 digs. Hannah Jo Jablonski had 11 digs. Freshman Emily Emerson had seven digs.


Oct. 6: Soccer game against William Peace University


The soccer team lost to William Peace University with a final score of 0-3. Senior Lilly Fox had five shots and two shots on goal. Freshman Meredith Warrick had two shots. Abby Black had one shot and one shot on goal. Kaelin Sanderford and Claire-Emma Britt both had one shot each.


Oct. 8: Cross country meet at the Royals XC Challenge


The cross country team placed 25th out of 29 teams in the gold race. Corrine Weaver finished with a time of 18:43.5. Julie Tonon finished with a time of 19:31.2. Andrea Gallegos finished with a time of 20:37.9. Kaylee Spencer finished with a time of 21:04.0. Ashleigh Buser finished with a time of 21:08.6. Isabella Saudo finished with a time of 21:23.4. Claire Miller finished with a time of 22:50.4. Emily Ward finished with a time of 23:12.8. Emma Brooks finished with a time of 24:10.1. Mia Russell finished with a time of 25:26.3. The cross country team is scheduled to run their first 6k race at the Pirate Invitational at ECU on Oct. 15.


Oct.8: Volleyball game against Averett University


The volleyball team won against Averett University with a final score of 3-2. Avery Bowman had 30 total attempts, 13 kills, eight digs and six block assists. Hailey Long had 25 total attempts, 14 kills, two digs and two block assists. Whitney Bolton had 22 total attempts, nine kills and one block assist. Sara Dees had 21 total attempts, eight kills, two digs and six block assists. Lauren Bissette had 18 total attempts, nine kills, two digs and three block assists. Madelyn Clark had 15 total attempts, four kills and one dig. Freshman Martin-Maine Wrangell had six total attempts, one kill and one dig. Bailey Lucas had three total attempts, one kill and three digs. Freshman Mac Stafford had three total attempts. Lauren Phillips had two total attempts and 24 digs. Hannah Jo Jablonski had one total attempt and three digs. Emily Emerson had five digs.


Oct. 8: Volleyball game against NC Wesleyan College


The volleyball team won against NC Wesleyan with a final score of 3-0. Avery Bowman had 22 total attempts, seven kills and seven digs. Hailey Long had 22 total attempts, two kills and eight digs. Whitney Bolton had 19 total attempts, ten kills and two block assists. Lauren Bissette had 12 total attempts, seven kills, one dig and one block assist. Madelyn Clark had 12 total attempts, four kills, one dig and one block assist. Sara Dees had nine total attempts, six kills, two digs and two block assists. Lauren Phillips had two total attempts and 14 digs. Hannah Jo Jablonski had one total attempt and ten digs. Bailey Lucas had five digs. The volleyball team is scheduled to play against Methodist University on Oct. 13.


Oct. 9: Soccer game against Salem College


The soccer team tied with Salem College 0-0. Lilly Fox had five shots and three shots on goal. Morgan Thomas had two shots and two shots on goal. Meredith Warrick had two shots and one shot on goal. Claire-Emma Britt, Lillian Bennett, ‘25, and Abby Black each had one shot and one shot on goal. Kaelin Sanderford and Charlotte Ward had one shot each. Miranda Lutz was the goalie for the game. The soccer team is scheduled to play against Pfeiffer University on Oct. 12.
