Sept. 5: Field hockey game against Ferrum College
The field hockey team started their Meredith College debut with a loss against Ferrum College. The final score of the game was 0-8.
Sept. 7: Volleyball game against Randolph-Macon College
The volleyball team took on Randolph-Macon College and lost with a final score of 3-1. Senior Avery Bowman had a total of 32 attempts, four kills, six digs and two block assists. Freshman Madelyn Clark had a total of 25 attempts, 11 kills, three digs and two block assists. Senior Whitney Bolton had a total of 24 attempts, 11 kills, one dig and one block assist. Freshman Sara Dees had 20 total attempts, eight kills, four digs and four block assists. Hailey Long had a total of 19 attempts, nine kills and one block assist. Lauren Bissette had 17 total attempts, seven kills, one dig, one block solo and one block assist. Freshman Martin-Maine Wrangell had 11 total attempts and one kill. Senior Lauren Phillips had two total attempts, one kill and 23 kills. Freshman Emily Emerson had one total attempt, one kill and ten digs. Hannah Jo Jablonski had one total attempt and 12 digs. Senior Bailey Lucas had a total of six digs.
Sept. 8: Field hockey game against Bridgewater College
The field hockey team lost their game against Bridgewater College with a final score of 0-15.
Sept. 10: Volleyball game against Christopher Newport University
The volleyball team took on Christopher Newport University and lost with a final score of 3-1. Madelyn Clark had a total of 30 attempts, four kills and one dig. Avery Bowman had 27 total attempts, seven kills, nine digs and two block assists. Whitney Bolton had a total of 23 attempts, eight kills, one dig, one block solo and one block assist. Hailey Long had 22 total attempts and seven kills. Lauren Bissette had a total of 15 attempts, seven kills and three digs. Sara Dees had 11 total attempts, three kills, one dig, two block solos and three block assists. Bailey Lucas had four total attempts, two kills and five digs. Lauren Phillips had one total attempt and 23 digs. Hannah Jo Jablonski had one total attempt and nine digs. Emily Emerson had a total of four digs.
Sept. 11: Soccer game against Guilford College
The soccer team played against Guilford College and lost 0-1. Kalin Creech had two total shots and one shot on goal. Senior Lilly Fox had one total shot and one shot on goal. Freshman Lillian Bennett had one total shot. Soccer’s next game is on Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. against Randolph-Macon College.

The field hockey team played against Wittenberg University and lost with a final score of 0-6. Field hockey’s next game is on Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. against Ferrum College.

Lauren Bissette had six total attempts, four kills and one block assist. Freshman Mac Stafford had four total attempts, one block solo and one block assist. Bailey Lucas had two total attempts and seven digs. Lauren Phillips had one total attempt and 18 digs. Emily Emerson and Hannah Jo Jablonski both had a total of 12 digs.
